Challenge: Harmonising elegance with functionality
The integration of this custom homelift presented a set of unique challenges. The primary goal was to install an elevator that not only facilitated mobility within the home but also became a central piece of the interior design project, blending elegantly and functionally.
Panoramic wall: An interior vista
A standout feature of this custom-crafted elevator is its panoramic wall, allowing occupants to enjoy the home’s interior as they move between floors, as well as the natural stone cladding the shaft wall and the stunning views from the second-floor window to the exterior.
Elevator mechanics and jambs lacquered for seamless integration
Installed in a semi-panoramic shaft, the machinery and mechanical parts were visible, hence the decision to lacquer them in the same RAL colour used for the house’s doors and windows.
For this project, a coating was also applied to the ceiling and the lower chassis in the same RAL, covering any unsightly components in these areas.

Marble flooring
The homelift’s floor features the same marble used throughout the house, ensuring the elevator’s aesthetic integration within the residence.
Translucent onyx: A touch of sophistication
To achieve an even more sophisticated aesthetic, translucent onyx was used on one of the walls of the residential elevator. This natural material is known for its beauty and ability to diffuse light softly. The selected onyx for this project, with its white and brown veins, creates a visually unique effect that adds warmth and distinction to the space.
Panoramic doors
In designing this residential elevator, automatic swinging panoramic doors were chosen for their functionality, aesthetics, and design, offering a sense of spaciousness within the cabin and a connection to the rest of the house.
Comfort
This project features the installation of a gearless motor for enhanced comfort—compact and quiet.
Custom residential elevators
The final result is a custom residential elevator that not only facilitates mobility within the home but also becomes a work of art that elevates the home’s design to a new level.
